BRICK INSTALLATION

HOW DO I INSTALL MY THIN BRICK?

Although extremely similar to Full Brick in its final look and feel, the installation of Thin Brick is vastly different.

WHAT SIZE MORTAR JOINT SHOULD I USE?

In order to avoid unevenness in your brick walls, a mortar joint of at least 5/8" should be used.

HOW DO I FIX CHIPPED BRICK?

In order to achieve our signature distressed aesthetic, we chip a percentage of all brick during manufacturing.

Being that our brick is exteriorly decorated, the chipping during manufacturing exposes the bricks base color.

If this is something that is not to the liking of the customer, a simple remedy can be implemented during the bricklaying process.

For more information please click here.

HOW DO I ACHIEVE A WHITE MORTAR JOINT?

In order to achieve a vibrant white mortar joint, use the following technique:

Use the lightest colored masonry sand available in your region.

Use white masonry cement which is available in your region

For every sack of white masonry cement, add 1 shovel of masonry lime to the mix.

BRICK MAINTENANCE

HOW DO I REMOVE YELLOW STAINING?

Yellowish Green stains are a result of Vanadium Efflorescence, a temporary and natural stain that forms on clay products.

For more information please click here.

SHOULD I SEAL MY BRICK?

If your brick will be installed in a location where it is prone to staining, such as a kitchen backsplash, we highly encourage sealing your brick.

We recommend the use of PROSOCO Siloxane WB Concentrate, with a 9:1 Dilution Ratio.

It is important to note that sealers have the ability to change the tonality of brick post application.

Because of this, it's recommended that testing be done in discreet sections prior to sealing an entire wall.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY BRICK?

When cleaning your brick, never use high pressure wash equipment, acid cleaners, wire brushes, or any other abrasive materials.

Doing so will tarnish the face of your brick, as well as void our Limited Warranty.
